They want to tell you what it is. The catch? We all have to wait until June 5th to find out just what they've got up their sleeves. Hoping to steal more than a little of the iPhone's glory, the Taiwanese manufacturer has scheduled a press conference to bless the world with a "major announcement." The flyer currently circulating promises a "new mobile experience that will change the way we use and control our phones." HTC is generally reserved about product launches, sometimes releasing handsets without so much as a press release, so we can only assume that they're up to something rather significant. What could they possibly be launching though? Rumors circulating have pinned the HTC x7501, HTC Elf, or an entirely new product. June is shaping up to be one of the best product launch periods in a long time. The BlackBerry Curve, Apple iPhone, and "secret" HTC device all should be coming within a 2 week period. Hold on to your check books people, this could be a rough one for the bank account.
