The M500 is the world's smallest mobile phone

Designed by SMS Technology Australia and developed by one of the worlds leading and most respected mobile research and design companies.

Keeping time and keeping Contact will never be the same again. The M500 takes mobile communications to a whole new level. With over 80 hours standby time, full sms functionality, Touch Screen, full blue tooth compatibility, Dial Up Networking, Games, Mp4 Player, 128 Mb Memory,USB connectivity for software uploads, downloads, 199 number memory storage, 40 embedded real tones and its sleek sophisticated design make this the world's first truly mobile wristwatch.

The Duophone Concept Phone

No one can deny the power of 2. Two heads are supposed to be better than one. The number 2 is the smallest prime number and the only even one. It’s also the most divisible number. If that weren’t enough evidence, 2 is the number of DNA strands that make up the double helix structure. The common denominator here is the number 2 denotes cooperation and that’s where the Duofone concept begins.

The Duofone looks like any other slick concept but this time, it’s not about megapixels, or screen resolution, or even smartphone abilities. It’s about putting two of them together to combine their screen real estate. It’s about sharing each other’s battery power if one is low. It’s about increasing its abilities when paired with its partner. It even looks like a couple in bed when docked to its charging cradle.

LG Shine in Titanium Black

LG Electronics unveils a striking addition to the LG Shine, the LG Shine ‘Titanium Black’. Boasting the same amazing features as the original LG Shine handset, the full metal bodied jacket has received a makeover, turning it a dark and sophisticated metallic grey.

Taking influence from futuristic trends, the LG Shine ‘Titanium Black’ presents a handset with a mature and refined finish. Edgier than black and more chic than silver, LG Shine ‘Titanium Black’ combines the best of both looks and will allow both men and women to shine. A fully metal bodied super-slim handset, the LG Shine launched in the European market in February 2007. LG Shine ‘Titanium Black’ will be launched in the UK, France, Netherlands and Austria. It will be available in major mobile dealerships from the end of July.

New Fiat 500 has Windows Mobile entertainment & comms system

It turns out that Fiat, Microsoft and a components company, Magneti Marelli, jointly developed a Windows Mobile-based media and navigation system for the 500 (and other models in Fiat’s range). Called ‘Blue & Me’, it features voice activation, a dashboard screen and steering-wheel buttons, and Bluetooth to connect to a cellphone. Music can be played from anything hooked up via Bluetooth, SMS messages are read out and it functions as a hands-free kit for calls; there’s also a USB socket for you to plug in a flash memory stick with music stored on it.

Upgrades include sat-nav and enhanced communication tools, while interactive navigation services, address look-up, weather and traffic reports and even satellite theft tracking are planned for future developments. For anyone looking to make a jaded “you don’t want a BSOD when you’re doing 50km/h!” joke, rest assured that Microsoft’s involvement doesn’t go as far as the engine.
I love the look of the new 500, and I’m really looking forward to test-driving one. Personally I find the BMW Mini to be a little soulless and arrogant, whereas the Fiat is more cheeky. Rumour has it that it’ll make it to Portugal in the begining of 2008.

Nokia N95 8GB version caught in the flesh

Might Nokia be already putting its flagship N95 smartphone through an upgrade cycle? Snoopers through the Finnish company’s xml phone profile page have found reference to an all-black variant of the handset complete with a full 8GB of memory. That would certainly please those who have found the N95’s five-megapixel camera to be a decent replacement to their old digicam.
Rumour continues that the 8GB N95 will come in an all-black casing and maybe even without the GPS functionality, which seems both a shame and unlikely unless they name it a “music edition” and omit the navigation for the sake of battery life.
On that subject, here’s hoping that Nokia will be putting a higher-capacity battery pack in any future version of the phone; reviewers and users are still scathing at its short lifespan.
